At Cam-mont House, Gill offers a friendly, relaxed stay away from your normal surroundings soaking up the Scottish atmosphere. Enjoy walking, sightseeing, bird watching, hiking, cycling or relaxing in the Highlands of Scotland. Ideally located if you are on route to the Northern Isles (Orkney), the Inner Hebrides (Skye etc.) or the Outer Hebrides. Click the map image top left to view our ideal location on the Black Isle, the lovely village of Strathpeffer, the market town of Dingwall and Cromarty are all  close and Inverness Airport is just 12 miles south. This all makes an open door to excplore the Highlands of Scotland.

Cam-mont House is a spacious bungalow situated on the bank of the Cromarty Firth,  the Northern edge of The Black Isle (given the name as there was little snow here at the time). The views are stunning with Ben Wyvis in the background. We are just below Culbokie, and 5 miles from Dingwall, the Viking Capital of the Highlands. Just 12 miles north of Inverness (the Capital of the Highlands) Cam-mont House is ideally placed just off the A9.

The house has a spectacular view across the Cromarty Firth with Ben Wyvis in the west which often has snow on it as it is 1046 metres high. The one acre garden extends to the shore of the Firth and has a small burn running through it.

Wild life is in abundance, including Roe Deer, Pine Martin and a variety of birds as they search for Fish, Herons as the tide goes out, Swans, Kites, Eider Duck, Shell Ducks, Manx Shearwater, Corn Crakes and Osprey along with many more,  it is also possible to see the Northern Lights in the darker night months normally from September to March.

There is ample parking in the drive to the front and side of the house. The house is normally shut from 10am to 3pm but this can be adapted to suit your needs.
